The #1 reason why marketing fails - WHO?

Do you have your eyes on the right target?

Who is your focus on? This has a big impact on the results you get. Marketing is about putting the right offer in front of the right people at the right time. Having a great product is essential and non-negotiable, but you have to tell the right people about it. By aligning the offer with the right audience, that is where marketing magic happens.

You cannot go to an automotive workshop and present the latest cooking appliance in the market. Those at the workshop have automotive needs and problems that need to be solved. One way to win their attention is to present what takes them closer to solving their problems. So if you showcase the right thing in front of the wrong people even at the right time, don’t expect great results because there is no alignment with needs, solution, and timing.

Audience, Offer, & Timing - Successful Marketing Trifecta

These 3 elements are crucial when marketing, but this email focuses on needs. Who is your product for? Who benefits the most from your service? Can you easily filter these people out from the noise? How do you differentiate them from those who are not your ideal customers?

It should be easy work for you to identify and describe your ideal customers and if you are having a tough time or saying a lot just to describe your ideal audience, I think you need to redefine “WHO” your product is for.

If you found value in this subscribe to my newsletter and receive the complete email series that talks about the remaining part of the W3H marketing strategy; WHAT, WHY, and HOW.

Just like in email marketing, you should set conditions and tailor your approach based on how your prospect interacts with your...

Everything else is an extension or byproduct of this aim. While this is the main objective, good design can help achieve various other goals in your marketing...
